MyFiles Privacy Policy

MyFiles is a local-first file manager. We do not require an account, do not show ads, and do not include a third-party tracking or analytics SDK.

Files and Local Data

Files you import, create, move, copy, rename, delete, favorite, or preview primarily stay on your device, inside the app container, in system locations you choose, or in your own iCloud storage. We do not operate a developer file server that uploads, stores, or reads your files.

The app may store file indexes, favorites, shortcuts, recents, recently deleted records, web transfer session state, archive operation state, and preferences on your device to provide file management features.

Wi-Fi Web Transfer

When you actively start Wi-Fi Transfer, the app starts a local web service on the same local network so a computer browser can access app-managed files. The app must remain in the foreground. This is local-network access, not internet remote access, and it does not pass through our servers.

Use this feature only on Wi-Fi networks you trust, and protect the displayed address, QR code, and session code.

Private Space

Private Space uses device authentication, iOS file protection, and in-app isolation so files stay out of normal Categories, Recents, iCloud sync, and local web sharing. It is not a separate forensic-grade encrypted vault. System backups, device security settings, and Apple services may still affect how data is stored.

iCloud

If you enable iCloud, sync is provided by Apple and uses your Apple account and iCloud storage. We cannot read your iCloud files from a developer-operated server.

In-App Purchases

Purchases, refunds, and restores are processed by Apple App Store / StoreKit. We do not access or store your payment credentials.
