1. Overview
Photo Size Compressor JPG (Bundle ID: com.MASIYA.photocompressor, hereinafter "the App") is developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Key point: The App does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on our servers. All data is stored locally on your device only.
This policy is effective as of May 19, 2026. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy in its entirety. This policy is available at any time via the App Store listing and this page.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not collect:
- Name, phone number, email address, or other identifying information
- Location data
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, etc.)
- Usage analytics or crash reports
Data processed and stored locally on your device only (we cannot access this):
- The single photo you actively select, used temporarily during cropping and compression — the original is not retained after processing
- When you tap "Save", the generated JPG is written to your Photos library or sent through the system share sheet, at your choice
- Daily free export counter and the next reset time
- Pro purchase entitlement state (Lifetime, Yearly, or Monthly)
- Recent spec presets, compression quality, and app preferences
3. In-App Purchases
The App offers three in-app purchases that unlock Pro entitlements (unlimited exports, custom pixels and target KB, more precise JPEG compression control):
- Lifetime Pro (CN¥30, one-time purchase) — does not auto-renew
- Yearly Pro (CN¥20/year, auto-renewing subscription)
- Monthly Pro (CN¥6/month, auto-renewing subscription)
All purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and restores are processed through Apple's App Store payment system (StoreKit 2). We do not access, collect, or store any of your payment information (credit card numbers, bank accounts, Apple ID passwords, etc.). Pro entitlement state is determined solely from the local transaction receipts returned by Apple and never communicates with a developer server. Subscriptions can be managed or cancelled any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
4. Photos Access
The App uses Apple's system PhotosPicker to let you pick a photo. You only authorize access to the single photo you actively select. The App does not request full photo library access and never scans or reads your entire library. The selected photo is used only on device for cropping and compression — no copy of the original is retained after processing.
When you tap "Save to Photos", the App requests write permission (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription) to save the processed JPG into your Photos library. This permission is used solely for writing new files and does not read existing library content. You can change or revoke permissions at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos.
5. File Saving and Sharing
The generated JPG can leave the App in the following ways:
- "Save to Photos": writes to your on-device Photos library (requires write permission)
- System share sheet: iOS passes the file to a destination app you choose (mail, registration apps, browser, etc.)
All writing and sharing above is handled directly by iOS and never passes through a developer server. The App does not upload, back up, or sync your photos.
6. Information Sharing
We do not sell, transfer, or share any personal information with third parties. The App contains no third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.
7. Data Security
Your data security relies on iOS sandbox mechanisms and device encryption. The selected photo is used only temporarily during cropping and compression — no copy of the original is retained. The generated JPG leaves the sandbox only when you tap "Save to Photos" or "Share". To permanently delete all local data, simply delete the App from your iOS device — this clears the daily free counter, the cached Pro entitlement, and your app preferences.
In the event of a security incident that may affect user data, we will notify you within a reasonable time through app updates or on this page.
8. Minors' Protection
The App is a general-purpose photo size compression tool suitable for users of all ages. Since the App does not collect any personal information and does not include any social posting, user content distribution, or online community features, there is no scenario in which a minor's personal data could be collected or processed. If the App is used to process application or ID photos containing minors, this should be done by a guardian, and the processed files should be kept private and submitted only to trusted platforms.
9. Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws (including China's Personal Information Protection Law), you have the right to access, copy, correct, and delete your personal information. Since we collect no personal information, no data access or deletion request to us is needed. To delete all locally stored data, simply delete the App from your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes, we will notify you through app update notes or a prominent notice on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the App.

12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, including the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), the Cybersecurity Law, and the Data Security Law.
Since the App does not collect any personal data, the data protection requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) do not materially apply. Nonetheless, we are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the highest standards.
