RunPilot Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 21, 2026

RunPilot is a local-first running and training app. We do not require a RunPilot account, do not show ads, and do not include a third-party analytics SDK.

Data Handled by the App

RunPilot stores data you create or authorize on your devices, including run records, GPS routes, pace, splits, heart rate, training plans, course progress, reminders, gear records, post-run notes, reports, and app preferences.

If you grant Apple Health permission, RunPilot reads or writes running, workout, and health-related data according to the permissions you choose. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Health or Settings.

If you use Apple Watch, RunPilot uses Apple system technologies such as WatchConnectivity, WorkoutKit, and HealthKit to sync workout state and completed runs between your devices.

iCloud Sync

When you are signed in to iCloud and the system is available, supported RunPilot app data can sync to your own private iCloud database. This sync is provided by Apple iCloud / CloudKit and does not pass through a RunPilot-operated server. We do not operate a developer server that stores or reads your run files, routes, or health data.

You can manage local and iCloud data through iOS Settings, iCloud settings, or by deleting app data.

Location, Notifications, and Background Capabilities

RunPilot uses location only when you start or continue run tracking, in order to generate routes, distance, pace, and related running metrics. Notifications are used for training reminders and other features you enable. Background location, workout processing, and audio capabilities support continuous run recording, coaching prompts, and workout experience.

In-App Purchases

RunPilot Pro purchases, subscriptions, trials, refunds, and restores are processed by Apple App Store / StoreKit. We do not access or store your card details, Apple ID password, or payment credentials.

Apple Services

RunPilot uses Apple system services including App Store / StoreKit, Apple Health, Apple Watch, iCloud / CloudKit, notifications, and location services. Those services are also governed by Apple’s policies.
