1. Overview
HomeVoyage (Bundle ID: com.MASIYA.homevoyage, hereinafter "the App") is developed by an independent developer ("we", "us"). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your data.
Key point: The App does not use a custom account system or developer-operated server. Photos and videos primarily stay on your device; iCloud sync and family sharing are provided by Apple iCloud / CloudKit.
This policy is effective as of April 28, 2026. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy in its entirety. This policy is available at any time via the App Store listing and this page.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not collect:
- Name, phone number, email address, or other identifying information
- Continuous real-time location tracking data
- Device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, etc.)
- Usage analytics or crash reports
Data processed and stored locally on your device includes:
- Family members, journeys, milestone moments, notes, covers, and custom settings you create
- Photos, videos, and local file references that you import or select
- Photo metadata such as capture time and location (EXIF/GPS), when available
- Place names, cities, or countries/regions generated by Apple system geocoding services
- Pro purchase state and app preferences
Local data is stored inside the iOS app sandbox. When iCloud sync or family sharing is enabled, some journey metadata is stored and synchronized by Apple iCloud / CloudKit; we cannot read it from our own servers.
3. In-App Purchases
The App offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock unlimited journeys and all Pro features. All purchase transactions are processed through Apple's App Store payment system. We do not access, collect, or store any payment information. Pro entitlement state is used through StoreKit and local receipt/transaction status for verification and restoration.
4. Photos, Videos, and Location Information
The App requests Photos access to import, display, organize, and export photos and videos you choose. We do not scan or upload your entire photo library; the App only processes content you authorize and select within iOS permissions.
Memory maps rely on photo location metadata, places you manually enter, or reverse geocoding results provided by Apple system services. The App does not perform background real-time location tracking, does not continuously track your current location, and does not send location data to our servers.
5. iCloud Sync and Family Sharing
When you are signed in to iCloud and enable sync, metadata such as journeys, family members, milestone moments, place details, and resource references may sync across your devices through Apple CloudKit. Family sharing uses Apple CloudKit Sharing to invite members to shared journeys.
iCloud and CloudKit storage, transfer, and sharing are provided by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy. We do not operate our own server for storing your family journey data.
6. Information Sharing
We do not sell, transfer, or share any personal information with third parties. The App contains no third-party advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.
7. Data Security
Your data security relies on the iOS sandbox, device encryption, iCloud account security, and Apple CloudKit permission controls. To remove local data, delete the App from your device; to stop syncing or sharing, disable the relevant content in the App or in iCloud/sharing settings.
In the event of a security incident that may affect user data, we will notify you within a reasonable time through app updates or on this page.
8. Minors' Protection
The App is designed for family travel records and parent-child memories. We recommend that minors use the App under the guidance of a parent or guardian. Please use care when sharing journeys that include minors' images, locations, or family information.
9. Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws (including China's Personal Information Protection Law), you have the right to access, copy, correct, and delete your personal information. Since we collect no personal information, no data access or deletion request to us is needed. To delete all locally stored data, simply delete the App from your device.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make significant changes, we will notify you through app update notes or a prominent notice on this page. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the App.

12. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China, including the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), the Cybersecurity Law, and the Data Security Law.
Since the App does not collect any personal data, the data protection requirements under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) do not materially apply. Nonetheless, we are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the highest standards.
